A Joyful, Intimate Elopement at The Cornish Place

When you think small wedding, you might imagine minimal, but this three hour Elopement at The Cornish Place was anything but ordinary.

Surrounded only by their children and parents, this gorgeous couple celebrated vows, laughter and Cornish sunshine in one of Cornwall's most enchanting spots.

As a Cornwall Wedding and Elopement Photographer, I have been lucky enough to witness some truly special days, and this one had it all: heartfelt vows in a rustic woodshed-turned-iconic ceremony spot, relaxed portraits in the gardens and wildflower meadow, and some sunny photos by the brand new glass house that added a little extra magic to the day!

The Ceremony: Rustic Charm Meets Emotion

With its weathered textures and natural light, the woodshed creates an incredibly atmospheric backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Danielle & Carl exchanged vows surrounded by their closest people, with their gorgeous children looking on and the Cornish breeze gently rustling through the open doors.

Wild Fields and Glasshouse Moments

After the ceremony we wandered around the grounds, finally ending up in the meadow. Tall grasses, summer colours and some dreamy soft golden light. The quiet moments are always some of my favourites to capture. Danielle's dress flowed effortlessly as she walked, and the children happily ran around freely, making the whole shoot feel natural and unposed.

The newly finished glasshouse was another highlight. Sleek, modern and full of reflections that added depth and romance to the photos. It felt like the perfect contrast to the rustic setting, and the couples connection and humour really came to life in front of it.
